Not just "the talk", but in general. Do they know how your lungs and heart work together, why it's important to drink enough water?
We were able to go to an awesome museum exhibit a couple of years ago all about the human body and how it works. It was called "Body Works".

No, nothing that complex yet.
He knows that we need our heart to beat (or "beep") and we have to breathe. He saw someone performing CPR on T.V. and was pretty curious about that. He knows that our bodies can heal themselves, water makes us healthier, and a very, very basic lesson on the nervous system.
Sounds like he's got some good information!

Oh that reminds me of a story! When I was pregnant with Laramie I was teaching Kindergarten, and as I began to show, I had to sit down and tell my kids that I was would be having a baby later that year.
I was all prepared with the answer "You'll need to ask your parents" with the "Where do babies come from question", because I think every family has their own "ages and stages" of sharing that information, and as a Kindergarten teacher, I was definitely not getting into sex ed!
Before I could even open my mouth, one of my more outspoken kids had her own answer, "From your (her family's word, which was coochie)." Oh I definitely had angry parent calls on that one!

They know a little basic stuff. My oldest is only 5 though. Although the boys do know a bit about having babies considering they were old enough to ask questions with my last pregnancy and of course this one.
*Snicker* It's so fun to gross out your kids :). When we were at the Body Works Exhibit there was a section on sexual organs, and they had both men's and women's labeled so that the blood vessels and glands were shown. Hannah said "Daddy, I don't think this is appropriate for me to be viewing."
Quoting TerriC:They understand how their bodies work and I even grossed them out on some things apparently...lol. But, at least they know the truth. =-)
