Toddler's urine smells like pickle juice... What does it mean?

My son is 2 and yesterday i kept smelling pickle juice and today when i was changing his diaper i realize that it was his pee smelling like this? Does anyone know what could cause this?

I have no experience with this and no answer other than to ask, did he possible eat a lot of pickles??  I know if you eat certain foods, your urine call smell like that food.  That is the only guess I have, sorry!

Probably something he ate.  My pee smells like coffee when I drink a lot of coffee.  =P

 Anything with a lot of vinegar or dill?
Could he be dehydrated? That can cause strong smelling urine. I've never heard of it actually smelling like pickles though.

That's really odd. I'd really push fluids and call his pedi if it continues.

Yeah, what the others said!  I'd go with either something he ate - or else, push fluids and if it's like that tomorrow, then call the pedi to see what they think!

Dehydration?  Something he ate?

Do you use cloth?  Cloth diapers can have stinky issues if not washed properly.

Sounds like something he ate, doesn't mean pickles. What has he ate in the past 48hrs?
