Okay I have stainless steel appliances and a granite countertop but ... I don't think mine is anywhere near cookie cutter. I think I picked a unique counter color.
Maybe that's just me

Open Layouts

"Open concept everything. We need some walls back." —Jessica B.

While I like walls open concepts are much better in really hot climates. It allows the air to circulate.

I have to admit, I love the open concept and the all white...I want to live in that picture...lol

My first apartment was basically one big room, and I absolutely loved the openness of it (Every wall was full of windows too), but it sure wreaks havoc on the storage space!

I hate all of those things except open concept. In India our apartment didn't have an open concept and it would get so damn hot (especially during the daily blackout period), what works in some climates doesn't work in others.

That makes a lot of sense.

LOL.  I have seen the pictures, and I don't think you're a cookie cutter.

We can't even have a TV in our living room.  It gets too hot and the TV blinks off and on.
