The 10 Decorating Trends You Wish Would Go Away

We asked, you answered. From taxidermy to stainless steel, here are the top trends that our Facebook followers said are over — and hoping will finally fade away in 2013.

Do you have any of these?  Do you think they are mistakes, or are there trends on this list that you disagree with?

:)) thank you

Quoting TigerofMu:

LOL.  I have seen the pictures, and I don't think you're a cookie cutter.

Quoting batjmom:

Okay I have stainless steel appliances and a granite countertop but ... I don't think mine is anywhere near cookie cutter. I think I picked a unique counter color.

Maybe that's just me

Yea, not a fan of animals on the walls in this fashion!

While this photo is too much white for my tastes I LOVE an open concept home.  My home is so enclosed sometimes I hate it!  Wish it was more open!

I do have an Eiffle Tower statue on my shelf.  It was my grandmothers and its all I have of her.  So I don't know how cliched that is?

I like stainless steel though I don't have it and I guess I would like granite but I'm not sure if I would recognize it in any home right away.  I've noticed when I watch house hunters people do seem obsessed with it.  I say it all depends on the space.

I can see how this owuld seem silly but it also depends on the house and the look I guess.

I like the chalkboard look but I wonder about the amount of chalk dust?  And I wouldn't want a whole wall of it or anything but maybe one area or so.

I wouldn't call it decorating but allowing easy access!

My 2yo saw this photo and said "Look!  Green apples!  Green apples are good!"

I think this depends on where or how much really.
