 This is perfect. I have a couple of mature pines along my back fence and have been wanting to make it into a huge bed, but need to find plants that will do well in the acidic soil left by the  pines.

Here's another colorful plan that helps give shelter to birds. It also provides privacy from neighbors. Garden size: 18 by 5 feet.

That's neat!  I've noticed that things have trouble growing under pines and read about the acidic soil when I looked it up one day.

Here's the planting guide for that one.  It lists exactly which plants they used.
