Impress Without Stress: 5 DIY Valentine’s Gifts

Posted by   + Show Post

Doesn't it seem like we just put away the Christmas decorations? Whether we're ready for it or not, Valentine's Day and all of its sweet, sugary glory is upon us. While we know it’s super easy to go and buy a box of the Valentine’s cards (hey, we won't blame you), we think that making your own personalized gift is a great indoor activity and a way to celebrate a little outside of the box (no pun intended). This Valentine’s Day, we’ve gathered up some simple yet thoughtful DIY ideas to show our kids, their friends, and their teachers just how much we appreciate them.

Let us know what you'll be crafting this Valentine's Day. Will it be one of Sommy's great ideas or something else equally as awesome?

Crayon Shaving Heart Decorations
Still stumped about what to do with those broken crayon rejects? This craft is an oldie but goodie that leaves you with a totally cheerful and festive decoration for your windows. While you'll want to do the ironing yourself, the kids will love helping out with everything else these pretty hearts need.

Glitter Rock Valentines
These special rock valentines are super easy and includes every kid's favorite artistic tool--glitter! Your kids will love everything about this activity, from the process of gathering the materials (did somebody say rock hunting in the backyard?) to decorating. In short...this craft definitely rocks.
