Haha! Set the heat?! I wish! We have a wood/coal stove. If it's cold, I build a fire. If I want it to stay warm, then that fire has to be blistering hot, singe your eyebrows off when I go to bed. We shut our door to make it liveable.
Though I will tell you, we have a thermostat now that we've put in a pellet stove, and it's nice. It only heats a corner of the house right now, so if it's cold we still need the big stove, but that corner of the house is set right about 75 degrees.

Usually 68 but its at 72 today. Its -10 outside..with windchill its -30.
