Kids' Health Kids' Health

I saw this in another group..and it kinda blew my mind away.  If a child in your child's classroom has food allergies..and you are asked to NOT bring in items that contain X, Y, Z..would you bring them anyway?

I would never endager another child's life because my child likes something.

 true story!

Quoting dusky_rose:

I have a son in Kindergarten and if I was told that a child had an allergy in his class, I would make sure not to send whatever it was in with him for his daily snack. I have heard nothing from the school though. So I hesitated on sending snacks with peanuts in it just in case, but my son loves peanuts and peanut butter and is picky, so I thought to myself why should he suffer? But if they do tell me, I will make sure not to send whatever it is into the school. I think that it is selfish to be informed and put another child's life in danger anyhow.
