My stb 5yo has been having many stomach issues since June, lots of vomiting, dirreah, and such. In Sept I took to er, he had stool samples run, blood draws, but everything came back clear, despite the fact he was lethargic and projectile vomiting... At that point it had been 4-5 days a week since June

After that he was ok for a few weeks.. but has still had soft poop, and vomiting "spells". Every few weeks. When he poops or Bonita it smells.. nit acidic like normal vomit.. it smells like a sewer...

I am really aty last leg... Today he is at it again... And gas a temp of 103.. his Pedi says its just a "stomach bug" but its been going on goronthd. Atleast every 2 weeks.. dome days he vomits anf is fine playing, eating, others he doesn't eat for days and has fevers and such.

I really don't know what else to do, tests to ask for or anything.
Ideas?

Food allergies?  With the recurrent tummy issues and the smell it sounds like he's got some digestive problems.

Doubtful. We've been doing food diaries since he was 9mo
I know they can occur ay any time, but from June-sept there wasn't one common food to link the vomiting to

Hmmm.  Well at least you're keeping food diaries.  The fever kind of throws me off there anyway.  Have you have had him tested for autoimmune deficiencies?

Idk, I don't know what all they tested for at the er.

But I think I'm going to just demand they do every test, it breaks my heart to see him sick so often.

I know kids get bugs here and there, but to be vomiting every 2 weeks atleast? I know its more.

When I call the Pedi they say its a bug if he's still sick in 48hrs.to call back, and he usuallyisis better after the first time

I agree.  Keep pushing till you can find out what's going on, because something is very obviously not right!

I agree, it sounds like something is not right.  Have you seen a GI specialist or anything like that?

Good luck, I hope you get some answers!
