Dermatologist or Podiatrist?

My son has a callused foot and either plantar warts or corns, I'm not sure which.  Should I take him to a podiatrist or a dermatologist?  The home remedies (salicylic acid, etc.) are not working and things are getting worse.  Thanks for your help.

I would guess either would be fine. I wod try the podiatrist first though since home remedies are not working. Or your family doctor.

Podiatrist. Also ask about sanitizing his shoes.

I would go to a dermatologist.  You usually have to go to your pediatrician or general practitioner first for a referral, and some of them will even burn off the warts in their offices.

In my experience, podiatrists are more focused on the actual structure of the foot, arches, pigeon toes, bone spurs, etc.
