even dh said that was messed up...
when we was leaving out this afternoon we noticeda county officer on the road surrounded by people. normally we don't get into other people's business but he was half way in dh's cousin's yard and half way in the road.
when we got back we found out that there is a crack head that lives at the end of the road.. which i didn't know or i would have been throwing a fit to leave here. but anyways. found out tonight the guy has been killing cats and dogs for a while... my father in law said that's probably what happened to my dog that disappeared a couple years ago.
the guy ran off the road o a 4 wheeler to run over a small dog and then shot another today. Animal cruelity is a crime... and the county cop was refusing to even fill out a report. granted it may have been close to the end of his shift but that's still his job...the only reason he did fill one out at least here is because dh's cousin threatened to call his supervisor. dh said he probably didn't even take it back to the department if he wasn't wanting to fill it out to start with.
normally i don't fuss about cops since dh is one and even before then i didn't fuss about them... but if you get in a job that requires you to file even the biggest BS report...it's your job. it don't matter if it's getting close to time to go home or not. my dh has arrested people close to time for him to leave and would call to let me know he was at the jail and would be home as soon as he could... because he was having to book someone.
guess i'm kind of like dh... if they don't want to do the job then they really need to find a new one and not be a cop. he fusses about one of the guys in his department like that. because if he works days and gets off at 7pm. regardless of what's going on when 7 gets there he is gone. he had left dh at a domestic in the back of the house talking to a woman while he had the guy outside. when 7 came he just left didn't even say a word to dh. he didn't even know till the guy came walking through the house to the back room where he was talking to the woman.
sorry had to vent about that.. and didn't want to start a cop bashing threat.. so i figured you ladies would understand my frusteration and know that.
There are lazy people in every profession.. sadly becoming a police officer or correction officer is not for everyone.. my husband complaints a lot about his co-workers not wanting to do their job or letting things go just because it involves paperwork.. and i agree.. if you dont like it then leave it and let someone else that is trying to do the job get it..
Poor animals. I feel specially bad for them because, like children, they dont have a voice and are so abused. Be careful with this guy, by the way, if he is that crazy and he knows your husband is an officer, he might try to start problems. I would keep an open eye with this individual.
we always kind of figured something is going on down there because cars are in and out all the time and it's a dead end road. i don't know if they know dh is a cop or not because the live at the very end of the road. and dh drive a personal vehicle back and forth to work. the people that live close to us do know because they see him in the yard in uniform and coming and going to work.
there was a guy move out because of dh becoming a cop. because he had let dh know what drugs he did while he was in classes asking him if he would really bust him on in. and he told him flat out if i see it yeah i will.
a women across the street did stop him one day asking who the cop was that lived on the road...hee hee guess they never looked long enought o see him turn in the drive way. which is right at their front door. but most people don't really bother us.
when that guy was here dh said it was about 6 to 6:30 and he knows their schedule and said his shift ended at 7. he said that could have been a reason.. or it could have been the people telling him.. they just moved here from the city limits and they always had trouble going on there... and he said he hated to say it but the way they look too. if it had of been people that looked more respectable he probably wouldn't of had a problem with it. but the people 1) wouldn't even let him get out of the road and 2) wouldn't let him get out of the car. so they cop probably thought it was a bogus report because they was mad at someone else.
i don't know about the little dog that was reported the guy hit with a 4 wheeler.. the but one he shot. just got grazed, he is still running around.. trust me my comfortor found out yesterday when he pulled it off the line
.
but i am glad he didn't get hurt to bad.
wow i know what u mean by people not wanting to do their jobs. my husband deals with the same thing as his unit. thats sad about the animals. people really shouldnt do that. im with u on that if u dont want the job dont take it.my husband is a co and he deals with officers that want to blame him for something he doesnt know how to do but wont stop him from making the mistake theyll watch him make it then tell him it was wrong later. i know not part of ur subject but people could be more considerate. a lot of ppl dont really understand what policemen and cos go through. im glad this group is here.
This.
When a cop is in this profession and he acts like he doesn't even care about those that don't have a voice, that's what makes me see red.
