Drinking Greentea and my weight loss

Hi,

I just wanted to share my weight loss story with you. I started my lifestyle change last year around October, I weighed over 172 lbs. By Novemeber I started drinking Lipton greentea. I only drink it hot because the results are extremely better. I now weigh 118 lbs. I have weighed this for a few months now. I believe since adding greentea to my diet I have had many good results in my appearance, weight and overall health. I have great energy and I recently went to the Dr and my bloodwork was all good. last year my bloodwork wasnt good. She believes the greentea has made the difference. She asked me what I was doing different and i told her and she told me to keep drinking it. So, I know some of you who are just having a difficult time please add some greentea to your diet as the results are amazing. My daughter is is about 40 to 50 lbs overweight she is now taking the greentea pills, and to each their own she has lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks. Amazing. She is also on a Special k diet so that might have a lot to do with it. I also am still on a Special k diet and I only eat the cereal in the morning and a cereal bar in the afternoon. But I eat much veggies and fruits through out the day and eat a sensible meal at night and I go out on friday nights and have my chicken wings...lol. But i wanted to share my story with you, there is hope for all of us. Be patient, eat in moderation, and exercise, and drink greentea!! And dont look at this as a diet...but a lifestyle change.

I love gree tea. I also find that it does give you a full feeling and really helps with my seasonal eatting in the winter. The other tea I really enjoy is ginger mint tea and you can make that yourself really easily.

I have been working on getting more green and/or white tea into my lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your success with it!  It will help me stay on course.

I just wanted to share that I have a friend who conducts several Bible studies each week with Vietnamese people in our town.  She began to notice that she was losing weight, and had no idea why -- but was thrilled.

Guess what??   Every time she goes to a house, the kind host has a pot of green tea, and pushes several cups on her.  She thinks that has to be the reason she was losing weight.

Thanks for this reminder.  I am going to get more green tea and TRY to get used to it without milk, but with a little sugar.

Unfortunately, I do not drink green tea for religious reasons (I am LDS and I also don't drink coffee or alcohol). I'm glad to hear it's working so well for you though.

If you must use sugar (only use splenda).. Try to remove all sugar out of your diet, unless of course you are eating carrots or fruit.  But other then that no sugar...

Adding honey is probably better than sugar or splenda. Thats what I add in my teas to sweeten them a tad.
