HELP!! TTC & wanting to lose weight...Is it possible? Safe? A waste of time?
My husband and I are TTC as of a month ago, AND I desperately want to lose weight and be healthier. I want to drop some weight quickly before getting pregnant that way I don't go over my weight limit when I do get pregnant. I am about 40# over weight for my height. I also want to have a healthy pregnancy which is harder when you are over weight.
PLEASE HELP....is this possible? Does anyone have any ideas? Should I not even bother since I don't know if I'm pregnant yet?
I don't have much advice on trying to lose, but I think it is good to try and stay healthy while pregnant and if you lose a little...great! I am quite over weight and lost weight while pregnant and my doctor was fine with it as long as baby was growing and healthy. I didn't lose a ton and it was more due to how sick I got. lol. But I think being pregnant should not stop you from making healthy lifestyle changes.
Totally worth it! Before my last pregnancy I was trying to lose weight and become healthy. I lost 30lbs before we got prego. I felt better and kept up the healthy eating and exercising as long as I was able. It was the best pregnancy I've had out of my three girls. I did end up weighing the same as I did before any weightloss but imagine if I didn't lose the 30 first!
What I find works best for me is to keep my regular recipies and just tweek them so they are healthier, cut out sodas for water, and add fruits and veggies in place of sweets and junk foods. Good luck on TTC!
