yes, cut out all sugar and extremely limit even the natural ones. lots of high fiber and quality low fat protien.

Of course, it depends on the person, but yes, absolutely! I can lose 3 1/2 lbs. in a week if I eat perfectly for 3 or so days and exercise.. Since Monday, I have lost 7 lbs. b/c I have been eating about 1400 cals a day and exercising every day & cut out alcohol.
If you have more to lose, you tend to see bigger numbers -- just look at The Biggest Loser.
