I was wondering what everyone is doing here as far as workouts. If they do cardio-swimming-weights ect... So I did a poll.
i have had to switch up alot because i get bored easily. but ive lost 43 pounds doing..swimming (in the summer..my dad lives on a lake so i would swim across it and back..that is by far my favorite workout) videos (biggest loser, exercise tv) yoga and pilates, running, walking, elliptical, stationary bike, weights, and i am a big fan of the old 8 minute work outs. i usually do each muscle group a couple because it has gotten easier..but i love those workouts...even with the cheesy music lol.
right now, i am just walking (3 miles at 4mph) and doing weights/8 minute work outs.
I do a mix of weights and cardio. I alternate days working out my lower and upper body and of course abs. Cardio I switch between the treadmill and elliptical with varying intensity. I plan on incorporating swimming on the weekends at least one day. Oh, and cant forget the jump rope. I try to not let my body get use to the workouts I do.
I hike in a local state park for 70 mins. (good terrain, up and down hills..) It really varies.. last week, just once, some weeks, 3 times.
I also work out inside with hand/ankle weights, alternating abs/arms one day, legs/butt other day. (each workout is about a half hour.)
When I watch TV, I will use my step stool as a stair stepper to burn a few more cals.
I workout with Baby Boot Camp. It is FABULOUS! The kids go with me in the stroller and we do a combination of walking, kogging, and stremgth training. It is well rounded, for every fitness level, amf the kids love it too! They are in many locatuons - www.babybootcamp.com
