i have recently come upon a website called healthy girl.  It is all about this issue.  this is a link that gives a couple of books to read in the issue.

I'm an emotional eater too. I've had to find other things to do when I'm feeling down to keep me from eating. I'm clean, do laundry, go for a walk, etc. Also, drinking water or even some chocolate milk helps too. I try to keep healthier snacks around the house too. If you're a chocoholic like me, try some chocolate low fat frozen yogurt or sherbert. It gives me what I want without the calories and all the sugar of regular ice cream.

Get a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. When ever you go to grab something just get 1/4 cup of the choc. chips. They're packed with good fat and most likely you won't eat the whole 1/4 cup. It also helps if your craving sweets but trying to stay on track.
