High-Carb or Low-Carb? Both Keep the Weight Off

Low-carb and high-carb diets work equally well for maintaining weight loss. A study found people had the same success in keeping off the weight they'd lost if they followed a low-carb (also called high-protein) diet or a high-carbohydrate regimen for the following year.

How about just watching calorie intake and portion control and eating well balanced meals?  I do not recommend any kind of "diet"  that goes either too heavy or leaving out any food group.

I think that (what you are suggesting) is the overall point of the article. The study proved that keeping your calories low enough is the most important thing. However, the low carb eaters found it easier to control hunger.
