Hi ladies I'm new to the group and thought I would intoduce myself and maybe gets some tips on how to loose weight.  My name is Janeen and I have a 8 month old little girl and have been married just over two years.  I was diagnosed with PCOS in 06, during this time I gained about 30 pounds most of it in my stomach.  I lost about 15lbs because of the meds I'm on for the PCOS.  now I am unable to loose the weight from when I was pregnant.  I did loose some from nursing but it came right back.  I would love to loose about 40 pounds but i know it will be hard because i do love food and the PCOS makes it hard as well.  any tips would be great.

bow down

its poly cystic ovarian syndrome.  I'm basically the opposite of a diabetic.  I'm on the same meds as one and get treated by the same doctors but I make too much insulin and never use it.  this makes you gain weight, most in your stomach and makes you go months without a period.

Hi and welcome. I have lost 30 lbs by keeping a food journal and counting calories. I also workout at least 3 to 5 times a week. Start small, change one thing at a time and don't get discouraged. I don't have PCOS but I understand it is difficult to lose weight .

That must be tough. What do your doctors say about weight loss?

He keeps saying I need to loose weight and take my meds.  I take my meds but its really my eating that does not help.  I need to cut out carbs because that makes my sugar go up and then I gain weight because I make more insulin.  I was walking almost everyday when I had my baby but that was getting frustrating because I kept gain the weight back.  He keeps telling me to watch what I eat but thats much easier to say then do.
