I live on the second story of an apt and I was wondering if anyone that lives in a second story has a treadmill. I don't want to upset the people below me. Or even if they have one upstairs in a two story house. My stepmom is going to talk to my dad and ask if he wants to give me his since he doesn't use it anymore. I would LOVE to use it and I could get a lot of use out of it but I don't want the people below me to want to kill me. lol.
I was going to say I'm glad it's a stupid question, cuz I'm real good with stupid answers! lol Can you tell I have an older sister and I'm a smart a-- umm mouth? lol
To be honest I don't know how much noise they make, I guess it would also depend on how well you get along with your downstairs neighbors. If you're sort of on semi-good speaking terms, you could always offer to let them borrow it maybe. I know my sister once lived underneath this guy (gee that doesn't sound right, does it? lol) but they were chatting by the mailbox one day and he just came right out and asked her when her and the (then) BIL went to bed, got up in the am and that stuff. Not to be noisy or anything, just so that he knew how much noise to make, or when to be quiet. It worked out they had similar taste in music too.
Good luck with the treadmill, I just wish I had the room for one.
I would try to use it when they were not home..But I would talk to them and tell them that you will be using a treadmill and maybe you can figure out a time they would be ok with it... I'm sure it is somewhat noisy on the second floor. GOOD LUCK!
I agree my mother has a treadmill and when she runs on it, it's a bit noisy. She had it upstairs and it would sound like the house was falling apart. I would just tell the neighbors I have a teadmill and I don't want to disturb you with it so when's a good time of the day for me to use it? I'm sure they will be nice since your being polite about it. Good Luck!!
