I found this on another board sounds pretty good

Registration for an 8-week WOMAN Challenge has opened! Visit this web site now to learn more and to register: http://www.womenshealth.gov/woman. There is a limited supply of free pedometers, so the earlier the better!

Please feel free to distribute the attached flyer to spread the word about the 2007 WOMAN Challenge.

Mark your calendars: the Challenge will begin on Sunday, May 13 – Mother's Day!

You choose a virtual course and then track the distance you travel by minutes or by steps. They do have a small convertion chart to convert a few other types of cardio into steps. A group from this team did it last year and it really helped keep me focused. I'm working with another team for this.

sounds good to me. i walk evryday by myself and it is hard for that moral support when you walk by yourself and a little boos t will help.
