Tomorrow I am starting my new health kick! Eating right, exercising, the whole 9 yards. Dh comes home in four months, well technically 3 and 1/2. And i want to get this weight off of me before then! So tonight i am heading off to the grocerie store because literally everything in this house in junk food! What do i buy? What foods are okay to eat? What kind of bread? White or wheat? Fruits anv vegatables? Milk? What kind of milk though? I have no idea! Will you ladies please help me figure out what to add to my grocery list so i can start eating healthy and start shedding these pounds! Please and thank you!! :) :)

LOTS of fruits and veggies!

Lean protein - ground turkey, ground chicken, pork tenderloin, chicken breasts, nuts, peanut butter

Whole grains - whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole wheat pasta

Low fat dairy - low fat/fat free cheese, skim or 1% milk, lowfat yogurt

NO processed food!  LOTS of water!

Produce: Fresh and frozen

Spinach, salad mix, bell peppers, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, eggplant, onions, sweet potatoes, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, carrots, asparagus, apples, bananas, plums, peaches, pears, grapes, cherries, apricots,  pineapple, melons, berries, green beans, edamame ( soy beans), sprouts...those are great options..

Whole grains: Breads ( I buy Nature's own whole wheat for 40 cals per slice), Pasta ( I buy Ronzoni Healthy harvest), brown rice, wild rice, quinoa, orzo, whole grain tortillas ( I buy La Banderita high fiber tortillas - 12 g of fiber, 5 carbs, and 71 cals!)

Dairy: Skim milk, greek yogurt, low fat cheese- Weight Watchers has american cheese as well as cream cheese and shredded cheeses....sargento has shredded that is low fat, laughing cow light is 35 cals per wedge- sodium is  super high though!

Lean proteins: Pork chops, pork tenderloin, ground turkey, turkey tenderloins, turkey cutlets, boneless skinless chicken breasts, fish- tilapia, flounder, mahi, salmon, roughy, shrimp, tuna, peanut butter, nuts, greek yogurt

Those are things I keep in stock at all times if possible.
