I have never heard of them? What are they?

I use them when I run in the winter. They keep me warm. They keep your muscles warm while working out so that you prevent fatigue and muscle strain. They also wick sweat from your body as they are made from a spandex type of material.

I have a pair of pants that I LOVE and a long sleeve shirt as well.

They're supposed to make recovery go more smoothly be keeping the blood from pooling in the legs (same reason they use them after surgeries).  They also help support the muscles.  Most people use them for the recovery benefits.  I know compression socks are good for preventing varicose veins (I want to get some for this reason).  The people I know that use compression tights love them.

I use the pants for running in the winter and they're SO comfy!  That's about it though:)
