New Year's Weight Loss Challenge Day 7: Walk and Win!
Great job on the push-ups, everyone! We know Day 6 was a hard day so we want to make Day 7 a little easier, but still keep you moving. Your activity for January 9th is: Take Walking Breaks.
If you've been sitting down for an hour or more, get up and move! Today, take a walking break every hour that you are sitting down. If you can, walk around outside for 5 or 10 minutes. If you need to stay indoors, walk around your house or your office.
Researchers have found that sitting for prolonged periods of time causes the enzymes that fight fat to break down. Sitting for too long can also slow down your metabolism. So don't just sit there--get walking!
Plus, we have our first challenge contest! Two randomly selected moms who reply to this post and tell us where they walked will win a Cafemom workout tank top! You can post multiple times, or every time you take a walking break, to improve your chances.
