How many laps around a school gym equal a mile?

If Im not mistaken I think we did 16 for a mile back in high school but its been a few years....try and google it.

Bump! I'm guessing it would depend on the size of the gym? Or maybe there's a standard gym size? Lol

Also depends on how you're turning those corners. Is it a one basketball court gym, two, four, etc. lots of variables.

Yes, I agree...there are many factors involved in calculating the mile.

Many factors but it would be standard if you are following the black lines of a basketball court for example. You should be able to goggle that.

I dunno!  when I was in high school, I think our gym track it was something insane like 25, but we had a small gym.  I'd be dizzy and ready to vomit by the end :)

The gym I go to takes 17 laps to equal 1 mile.
