Protein Shakes, how do you do it?

Do you drink protein shakes?

I am trying the 1st Phorm level 1 protein powder (chocolate). I mixed it with 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 cup water, a spoonful of peanut butter, spoonful of oats, and lots of ice. It tasted really good, much better than any I've ever tried.

What do you do to make your protein shakes drinkable?

I don't mind a chocolate whey protein I have. I mix it with 8oz 1% milk and drink it in 2-3 gulps. It doesn't taste gross: it's just gritty.

Or I add the powder to a smoothie.

See I am BIG on textures.. and gritty makes me gag. :( lol So I like that this one wasn't gritty at all, even with the oats (in a smoothie).

I drink the GNC total lean in swiss chocolate mixed with a cup of skim milk and ice.  Pretty good!

I mix mine with a spoon. So i think if I did it with a bit of ice, and the milk, it would be fine and smooth :)

I don't eat/drink them very often, only when I have worked out extremely hard for a while (which is rare, lol). When I do only use a small amount of water, 6-8 oz, the protein, some frozen berries and have a frozen banana (I chop them up and freeze them in ziploc bags). I add some hemp or flax milk and then wiz it up. I like them really really thick, like mcdonalds milk shake thick.

I've tried the GNC Total Lean in French Vanilla and added some peanut butter to it:)  It was tasty!  I don't have them often though as I get my protein from my food!

I drink Shakeology every day .... it is so much more than just a protein shake.  It has antioxidants, phytonutrients, adaptogens, prebiotics and digestive enzymes.... plus of course protein.

I don't.... I prefer to get my protein from whole sources not powders...that's just me though.

im trying to find a whey protein I like. I think I found one...I bought a couple packets and tried it and it's good but then I bought a different brand today since they store I got the packets at is 35 min away and I didn't want to drive out there. I tried it today but I can't tell if it's nasty or I just screwed up my smoothie lol.

What I was doing with the couple packets I had was mixing it with some strawerries and bananas and some unsweetened almond milk and some flax oil. It was pretty good.

This is the kind I used and I think I'll get again when I get back out to the health food store...
