I got on the scale today and I weigh 347 pounds. My jaw about hit the floor. I'm at a loss. I don't know how I let myself gain all this weight. I feel disgusting and unattractive. I have vowed to myself I'm going to work out as much as I can,and watch what I put in my mouth. I joined myfitnesspal.com to log my calories and activity and I've told my husband my plans. I have no partner to take this journey with me. I am on my own. So here we go, me, myself, and I. My goal is to be down to 175 in two years. Hopefully I'll stick to it this time. I'll update my progress from time to time for anyone who cares to follow.

Do you have a workout plan?
Now some advice. Take your weight divide it by 2 that's how much water you should be drinking to loose weight ! Set short attainable goals. Like 10 pounds. To loose weight healthy I would suggest a 1-3 pound loss a week.
A journal on here is great you can really see what your putting into your body and how its making you feel.

Jen and Darby gave you great advice already, so I can't add too much.. I will explain what BMR is though.
BMR or Basal Metabolic Rate is the number of calories your body needs to function and be inactive-think digestion, blood flow and organ functions. Once you add in activity of any kind, you have to consume more in order to offset that activity. If you eat too few calories, your body goes into starvation mode and stores fat as fuel and burns lean muscle mass instead. That lean muscle mass comes from your heart, liver, lungs and brain.
I will be happy to do yours for you. I will need your age, height, weight and how many days per week you plan on working out.

You are where you are, I can understand your frustration but don't spend time feeling sorry or down on yourself, tends to end up making things worse and harder in the long run.
MyFitnessPal is an excellent tool (I'm RebeccaIngham on there too). Great to keep track on your calories in/calories out. I'd also recommend not just journaling your food and exercise, but also your thoughts and feelings. That will help you figure out the root of what got you to where you are so you can get to where you want to be.
You didn't get here overnight and it will take time, energy and discipline to get to where you want to be, but you can do it. You are not alone!
