I am one of those people who has a hard time with balance. This affects me in all areas of my life. I was doing really well with my weight loss and had lost 20 lbs and then a few weeks ago I crashed and burned. I have gained 5 lbs. I obsess and think about what I can eat and can't eat every second or I just don't care and eat whatever. I am getting back on the wagon now and to motivate myself and treat myself I am going to get one of the bodybuggs. I am excited about a new toy to help me obsess over numbers LOL Are there different kinds? Does anyone have any advice about them? Sorry I got off track there....So I need to get over this 5 lbs I put back on and get back on track. Anyone know how I can get through this journey without it consuming every ounce of me? I just want to be able to not be running numbers through my head 24/7 and counting down the hours until I can eat again.
Claire knows more about Bodybuggs than I do, so I'll let her answer that part:) Stop focusing on the past and just focus on the future mama! You CAN do this! I know you can! Focus on small things like your next workout and eating healthy each day. Good luck!
The bodybugg is the most efficient way to track calories that I have found over the years. It does it all for you. You will have to put in your information to start off the process. Once it is charged ( the initial charge takes 3 hours BTW) and it is worn, all you have to do is input food and upload the bugg. It does everything else for you. You can also build foods as well as put in items you eat on a regular basis if they are not in the database- which takes about 2 minutes tops.

I bought a bodybugg last night online and this morning I have started counting calories again. I weighed myself and I am 185. I was 181 a few weeks ago. I am going to forget about the last few weeks and focus on my new short term goal 175.
You sound JUST like me. I lost all this weight, then felt so guilty I just kept eating and eating and didn't care (even though all day I counted every single calorie - it was at night where I went bonkers). I gained 5lbs in about two weeks, and 5lbs really shows up on a short chicka like me!
I think it is awesome you are treating yourself to the bodybugg. I really wanted one! (I thought of getting one but I knew I would get bored of it after one days use like I did my HRM. Once I knew my HR or how much I burned it seemed useless to keep using it unless I did a new activity). I think bodybugg is the brand and the only one out there? My friend has one and she really likes it. She only uses it when she works out though rather than all day because it irritated her. I have read the reviews on amazon when I was thinking of investing in one and they seem like a pretty darn/fun good product!
And maybe to help so you aren't thinking of numbers every day is to add up all your numbers BEFORE the day and write out everything you will eat. I like doing that, that way I know I can eat all of what I had listed whenever I want and I wont worry about going over my calories. I also had to hide my scale. I am a total weigh in addict. I am talking everytime I went to the bathroom! Not good. Other then that not sure how I can help you but to stay strong and be proud you are willing to get things back on track! You can do it! :)
I had a body bugg and it's great but you also have to buy a subscription to it every month and it was just too much $$ for me on top of a gym membership. The body bugg is great for folks like you (and me) because it does most of the work for you.
