I LOVE keeping a huge salad in the fridge, and being able to take from it whenever.
I use red leaf lettuce, spinach, sliced carrots, celery, and tomatoes, then I add sprouts and sunflower seeds when I take some. Yummy!
I also make a salad occasionally with spinach and arugula, blueberries, apples, and candied walnuts (just a few!). Or with spinach and arugula, with dried cranberries, pears, and candied walnuts. Spinach salad with blueberries and strawberries is great in the summer!

I just keep them in airtight containers in the fridge. I bought these green ones that are supposed to help, but I rarely use them. Keep the salad in the front of the fridge, where you'll see it! I also sometimes will cut up everything and keep them all separated, so that one ingredient going bad doesn't ruin the whole thing. Also, tearing lettuce rather than cutting it will make it last longer.

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of salads at home. Mostly because they never get eaten fast enough and I toss part of it.

I ONLY like iceberg, so i take that add 1/4 cup feta cheese, 1tbsp candied walnuts, 1 tbsp dried cranberries, 1 oz grilled chicken breasts and 2 tbsp raspberry viniagarette. So yummy!
I just started making salads at home I wish I could make them more like the ones with romaine, applies, blue cheeze, walnuts, etc but it becomes an expensive salad after a while. I just use iceberg spit up into 3 portions with cucumber, tomato, grilled chicked a little turkey bacon bits. It turns out ok, I am having that for lunch.
