Lower calories than regular milk, only 60 calories for a cup.

I get the unsweeten kind its 40 cals a cup. I use it for smoothies and cereals. I wouldn't call it yummy but its not bad either. I use cows milk for cooking too.

besides the fact that you all say that it is yummy....what made you switch??  I generally drink skim milk. ....the package says 50% more calcim then skim milk, and I read on a website that "almond milk calories" are pretty much equal to 0 calories and that  didn't make sense to me...thoughts?

I do it becaue its lower in calories. Some do it because of lactose and other vegaterains. (Sp?)

We made the switch to almond milk after we switched to a vegetarian diet. It is good IN stuff, cereal or baking but personally i don't like it just in a glass.....my family (hubby and 4 kids) will though!

I don't really like drinking cow milk becuse it's just sort of unnatural and weirds me out. Cows milks is meant for baby cows, not people. I just don't see a point in drinking another animals milk. *shrug* I'm kinda weird about it.

I buy local cows milk for my son because he likes it though. I buy almond milk, vanilla, for myself but the only thing I use it for is cereal/oatmeal...
