BMR & MFP

So I have read in multiple posts that what mfp gives you for a calorie intake goal is notoriously low. It says if I want to lose 1 pound/week, I need to be eating 1410 calories per day with a lightly active lifestyle (I'm a nurse). I'm 27 5'5.5" weigh 149 ish and workout 3 days a week at least with trx and walk/jogging.
Also, I'm trying to figure out how many calories to put in for my trx workouts in mfp. It is mostly strength training with some cardio depending on what the instructor has in mind for.that day. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

You're BMR is 1481.  NEVER go below this number...so definitely adjust what MFP has for your caloric intake!

Working out 1-3 days/week, 1481 x 1.375 = 2036

To lose on pound per week, 2036 - 500 = 1536

So, you need to eat between 1481-1536 calories each day.

For the exercise tracking, I would probably track it as circuit training.

Good luck!

Usually with MFP I just use what it guestimates. Since I don't have a HRM I figure I don't really know anyway.
