Have you tried any of the "meal" programs before? What was your experience like?
As part of an amazing opportunity, I was chosen to test the Shaklee/Cinch program out for 6 months. I am also in the running (with 50 others) to be the Shaklee spokesperson for 2013, along with a $10,000 incentive - that's the grand prize. 1st prize is $5000 ($2500 blog conference package and $2500 Macy's gift card), 2nd prize is $500 cash, 3rd prize is $100 cash. It is based on overall transformation, so I have a good chance!!
I participated in a similar opportunity with Nutrisystem (no incentives, just the program) but quit after like 2 weeks because the food was soooo nasty. So far, the flavor of the Cinch products are 1000 times better. The chocolate shake I had for breakfast almost felt like I was "cheating" lol.
My goal is to lose 48 pounds by December on this program. I know that would be "results not typical" status, but I'm going for i.t

I did Seattle Sutton once...loved it, just too expensive. And I now know that I probably was not getting enough calories. But the food was delish.
Never heard of that one. I know Visalus and Shaklee are both around $300 a month. :/
I felt like the amount of calories I was getting with Nutrisystem was spot on *if* I ate enough fruits/veggies outside of the foods but the food they sent was sooo gross. :( With Shaklee it seems like I will have to eat a big dinner, which I don't want, so I may switch it up and do the meal replacement for dinner, and have a bigger lunch instead.
Quoting LuvBodyByVi:ViSalus has one kit that is $300 a month, but that kit is more for athletes...not for an average person wanting to lose weight. ViSalus kits range from $49/month to $300/month, depending on what your goal is. If you want to lose more than $10 pounds, I would recommend at least the Shape Kit ($99/month for 60 meals = $1.50 per meal).
And don't forget about the "3 for FREE" program. For some reason, everyone seems to forget that part. Refer 3 and get your next month's kit free. I haven't paid for my kit in months. You don't have to be a distributor to participate in the "3 for FREE" program.
PM me if you want more info. I'm a distributor.

Let us know how it goes! Not trying to be a downer, but I stay away from meal replacement programs. I feel like there's a lot to learn about how to maintain your weight loss that you learn along the way when you make your own meals and don't use supplements or meal replacements. Many people who use meal replacements and lose weight (like myself several years ago) end up gaining back the weight they lose plus more (again, like myself).
Good luck with your program test!

60 lbs by October? I'm sorry, but that's very unrealistic. 60 lbs in 4 months? I suppose it could be done, but not likely through healthy means that will help you keep the weight off.

What is the average weight loss on this program. I am wanting to lose 80lbs. But would like to lose 60lbs by October.

I'm not trying to not be supportive, however, this is a group that is about healthy weight loss. 60 lbs in 4 months is very difficult to accomplish through healthy means. If you can find a way, good luck. Part of being supportive, even here, is tough love, meaning reality checks when needed. I am really just trying to help keep you from being disappointed if you cannot achieve such a lofty goal. That's just a REALLY big number in such a short time, and VERY few people (if any) are able to do it through HEALTHY means.
Quoting AmandaLacy:
Wow thanks a lot. I understand this is a hard task. I can say this is the first time I have not been supported in this group. I thought we were here to support each other in whatever are goals are. Personally if you can't be supportive I don't want to heat your opinion. Sorry if I am being rude

If I were you, I would set several small goals between now and October...like maybe 5-10 pounds per month...those are still high numbers to lose each month (more on the 10 pound side), but more reasonable. That's just my take:)
I have found in my personal experience as well as the experience of others that setting big goals like that are unrealistic as losing 60 pounds in 4 months would mean you need to lose 15 pounds each month, and that's a hefty number unless you plan to workout 3-4 hours each day, and not many of us have time for that. I'm not trying to be rude or unsupportive but you are setting yourself up for failure by expecting to lose 15 pounds each month for 4 months.
Why are you in such a hurry? Why not make a total lifestyle change and lose weight a little more slowly (like maybe 5-10 pounds per month) and then actually be able to keep it off in the long run?
