Discouraged....

*sigh* I thought everything was going awesome for me! When I started my journey I was 211 pounds. I got myself down to 204. (I did this by healthy eating and walking on my treadmill w/ occasional workout videos)
I gained a pound back. 205.
I then decided to try the vi shakes and got a gym membership. I'm now 208.8. :(
I did have 2 really bad days last weekend. Really bad!
But I was thinking maybe it has something to do with me using the machines at the gym and gaining muscle? Did this happen to y'all?
I don't want to give up, I'm just so down about this. I feel like I'm wasting my time.
Any advice, suggestions, or pick-me-ups?

Keep going, you can do this. My advice is don't weigh yourself to often the number on the scale can fluctuate so much. Just keep eating healthy and keep moving!

Stay off the scale for 2 weeks and stick with your diet and exercise. Increase the pace of your cardio a bit. Everyone slips up on diets. I just lost 60lbs, and getting from 213 down to 200 was the hardest. Keep at it lady!!

Oh honey, we all get to that point where we think we're wasting our time & that we're not making progress, but let me just tell you...you're doing great!! Get away from the scale though - I became scale addicted when I first started my healthy journey and even now, 6 months later, I'm battling the scale. I did the treadmill & healthy eating originally, and I lost 30lbs on my own, but then I wanted something more challenging, so I started Insanity, and the scale stopped moving!! I was told to gauge my progress with measurements, so when I started Insanity I measured myself. I've been doing this workout for 5 weeks, and my scale went down 3lbs in 5 weeks, BUT....my measurements ROCK!! I'm down 13 inches and down from a size 12 to a 7/9, so I AM making progress...just keep at it!!!!! Don't give up!! I know it's hard when you don't feel like you're making progress, but keep going! Don't forget when you work out that you're building muscle too so keep that in mind. Get a measuring tape & take your measurements once a week - and weigh yourself at the same time. Don't measure or weigh in everyday. Your weight can go up and down ounces & it can bring ya down, so try to only do it once a week. I've actually been measuring and weighing in every other Monday and it's really worked for me. I wish you lots of luck!! You can do anything you put your mind to!!!!!! :)

I am so scale addicted! I think I might need to put mine under lock and key lol! I'm definitely going to get a tape measure and start measurements. I think I'll also increase my cardio speed a bit. Hopefully next Friday I'll be satisfied (somewhat) :) thank you for the advice and kind words! It means so much to me!

I'll be the first to admit I'm a scale addict.  However, I have two choices, I can use it as motivation or I can use it to piss me off!  Somedays it does just piss me off and some days it makes me HAPPY!  But I also know that I can't let it determine where I am in my journey.  I also track my food, track my exercise and things like that so I can look and see where I went wrong and to give me ideas on how to get back on track.  these last 2 months I have lost and gained the same 2 pounds over and over and over again.  But I know that I have it in me to get past it I just have to REALLY REALLY focus.
