Is going on a diet usually the hardest thing in the world to do?

Don't think of it as "going on a diet". Think of it as eating to fuel your body.

You have to get out of the "diet" mindset and into the "lifestyle" mindset.

For me, changing my eating habits isn't terribly difficult most days. I love veggies and I am not a snacker. It's only when i go out to eat that I have an issue.

Of you need to feel "full" try drinking a glass our two of water 10 to 15 minutes before eating.

You could also try to increase the amount of lower calorie fooood that have bulk. Lettuces & greens have a lot of bulk. A lot if veggies are low calorie, so you could increase them. They would help you to feel full yet eat healthy.

It isnt the hardest thing in the world! Once you look at it as a lifestyle change and not just another diet, then it will become easier and more manageable : ) Ive always considered myself an overeater with no self control! I found beachbody and they gave a nutrition guide in the packet and I was able to RETRAIN my mind how to eat , when to eat, and the right portion control for me and Ive lost 60 lbs : )

You need to eat more. I know it sounds weird, but a bowl of cereal isn't much for breakfast.

Here is a rundown of my day:

B:
2 egg whites/ 1 egg scrambled
4 slices turkey bacon
1 slice of double fiber whole grain toast

Am snack:
Fiber plus bar

L:
Salad/turkey sandwich or healthy choice steamer (the small one)

Pm snack
Fruit/veggie

D:
Chicken of some kind (I use skinnytaste recipes, and spark recipes), veggies, occasionally brown rice.

And TONS of water.
Eta: I have a hard time hitting 1200 calories most days, which is what my bmr is (it's between 1200-1300)

Trying to change eating habits is so hard and frustrating.  And the fact that my hubby sabotages my diet.  He wants me to be chubby and not skinny so he tempts me with...pastries and desserts.  How evil of him.  He brings me cookies from a bakery nearby his work when he gets home.  I love white chocolate and cranberry cookies.  I can not resist cheesecake or cake of any form.  I try to eat healthy when I'm not with him but oh my, when I see the cream puffs, my mouth just waters!

Op have you spoke with a nutritionist? They can be very helpful when you first start out.

Oh my sorry mama that sounds very stressful. Do you know why he's not supportive?
