My 1st 5k run is rapidly approaching....
...and I'm getting freakin NERVOUS!!!! It's called a Midnight Run because it's being done later in the evening (we live in the desert so running during the day in the summer is practically impossible) - it's 3.1 miles and I feel like time is slipping through my fingers in order to prepare!! I've been so wrapped up with my Insanity workout, I just looked at the calendar and realized that the run is August 3rd...and my last Insanity workout is August 4th! I haven't been on the treadmill or doing anything like that to prep for the 5k - do you think I'll still be ok to do it even though I haven't been running/walking lately? The last time I was on my treadmill was the first week of Insanity, and I realized I was overdoing it and got shin splints, so I stopped, and I've solely been focused on doing Insanity since then. I've already committed to doing this with some friends but now I'm beginning to wonder if I bit off more than I can chew?? Insanity IS a lot of cardio so I'm not really sure what to do about this....I really really wanted this notch on my belt, along with my Insanity shirt - I've worked my butt off to do these things...**sigh**...as usual, I'm going to my gals to ask for advise!! ;)
