I just the hardest run that I've had in a long time. I ran 6 miles and I was dying during that run. I feel so out of shape after taking a month off from all my workouts! Normally, I could blow through a 6 mile run and feel nothing...yeah, not today my friends..not today. I hit mile 3 and had to suck a GU down. Once I sucked it down, my muscles caught up, but my lungs on the other hand hated me.
I just told Heath that I am continuing my plan to run this half marathon in 6 weeks and he said he'll do it with me and then he'll start Cross Fit with some friends. I'm hoping that since I'll be running 4x per week starting again on Tuesday that my body will catch back up to where I have been for several years quickly...if not, this half marathon is going to be tough.
I can't wait until the kids are in school in a week and I can hit the pavement instead of the treadmill at least 3 days of the week.
The upside is I burned 784 calories running 6 miles! Love that!
