There is something really wrong and it's making me cry.

Posted by   + Show Post

 170 pounds.

One hundred and seventy fucking pounds; in 19 days.........

I go from 163 to 170...

A 7 pound GAIN in 19 fucking days!

I BUST MY BALLS 6 days per week in the gym; I rarely go over my calories and if I do, it's nothing major since I'm set up to loose 2lbs per week so even if I went over even by 500 I still should be loosing at least 1lb per week....but noooooooooooooooooooo it seems in these 2 odd weeks, I've gained 2lbs per week and then one.

I'm seriously in tears because I'm now officially the biggest I've ever been in my life and all of my hard work I'm doing for absolutely NOTHING.

I'm trying so hard to not be this massive tub of lard and look so damn disgusting and what happens? I gain MORE weight.

No, my clothes aren't fitting better, they're getting tighter, too.

I don't know what to do.

I'm about to say fuck it and give up and just starve myself.

Personally... I prefer sparkpeople over MFP.   I never could get into to MFP.   I just wanted to add that while weight loss does ultimately come down to calories in vs. calories out, there are also other things to consider.  Water intake, and how much good quality sleep you get are pretty important factors too.    How much sugar (even in fruit form) are you eating?   This is something I found on angrytrainerfitness.com once:

For one, if you’re not eating lots of vegetables in your diet, add them in. They’ll help keep you fuller for longer and the fiber will keep you running all day.  And be sure to keep your sugars low, even fruit. Fruit is natural sugar and it’s a great source of fuel. To burn fat we want slow releasing energy that keeps insulin levels low and promotes fat burn. Also be sure to eat lean proteins and healthy fats.

Do I need to eat back the calories with your calculation?

I still haven't been loosing and I think it's because I have been eatting back the calories.

the infamous and disgusting (on my body) 170lbs

5-6 days/per week

I run anywhere from 30 minutes-45 minutes

I run a 15 minute mile.

My PT does more Yoga and strength training so he doesn't do my cardio.

I also do the elliptical every other day to switch things up.

I burn roughly 265 calories in 30 minutes.

Quoting mcginnisc:

Deep breath..

Give me a day's menu. Be specific.

How many calories does MFP have you eating? Are you eating the exercise calories?

Let me do your BMR: I need age, height, weight and also tell me how many days per week you workout and durations...I know you are working with a PT and running but tell me durations so I can make sure I use the correct formula.

DO NOT GIVE UP!

BMR: 1549

Maintenance while working out 3-5 days per week: 1549*1.55=2400

To lose 1 lb per week ( 2 will put you below BMR): 2400-500=1900

Ideal range: 1549-1900...

You have to eat more. 1300 is way too low.

You sound frustrated and I'm sorry, but you need to eat more. Good luck!

No...if you use my numbers, you only eat within that range. You don't eat back the calories that MFP gives you.
