Trying to put it all together.
So I've been cleaning up what my family and I eat as best as I can. I've been walking almost every evening after dinner for 3 months now, finally got my husband to join last week. I walk anywhere from 30 mins to 90 mins, depending if I run with my son or not. I am now looking to add something in the mornings after breakfast. I would like to do cardio somedays and resistance other days. Something my daughter and I can do together, would be a plus. I'm just not sure what to do, how to start it, or how to schedual it.

Do you have access to a gym, where you can work out together? What do you enjoy doing? DVDs are a great way to get in some resistance training at home. You can also get ideas from sparkpeople.com. They have exercise demos so you can see how the exercises are performed. You could do them at home or in a park together, kind of create your own boot camp sort of thing. Try not to strength train the same muscle groups on consecutive days, but other than that, do what works for you!
