Precooking and freezing meals. Update with some links.
Now that my semester starts in a few weeks, I am in the process of cooking and freezing meals as much as I can, because I know when I have busy swamped days it's nice to have something healthy to pull out of the freezer.
So far I've made whole wheat banana pancakes (to just toast and eat while I drive), chicken fajitas, pork and beans from scratch, whole wheat veggie calzones (using this recipe with WW flour), and hubby made chicken veggie soup we portioned out into dinners...after I ate some. I AM sick after all.
I'm trying to come up with a few other meals to cook that are inexpensive and freeze well? Do you cook and freeze?
Thanks for the recipes and ideas ladies!
Here are some more that a friend of mine (who is my freezing hero) sent me to try out.
They are slow cooker recipes, so you basically prepare the meat and veggies and seasons and bag it up and freeze it. Then in the morning you thaw it slightly, dump it in the crock pot, and turn it on.
