Seems like I'm at a stand still....advice?
I am stuck at this weight for the looooongest time...I fit into my 8 jeans (just barely) which makes me happy since I haven't worn thast size since high school...BUT...My stomach is still a HUGE problem. It is so big still when the rest of me is more toned and and I have been at the same weight for a while. I want to lose my stomach so bad, I just have no idea how! I eat good, and excercise 5-6 days a week (Insanity, turbofire, Brazil Butt Lift) and i still just can't can't get rid of it! I am so frustrated right now!! I need encouragement or advice! I don't know what to do anymore. If I could lose the stomach I could probably go down even one more size, but I can't get pants up over it :( Ugh!!
Yes I have been doing it for a year! It won't budge! I don't have the money for a tummy tuck and lypo lol. Or the time to take off! I wish there was something I could do!
Quoting donnakat:I feel the same way. You can see my ribs, but then my stomach protrudes around my belly button. I hate it! I'm trying to eat more protein and focus on lifting weights to get more toned. But, I haven't been doing that already and it looks like you have!
What do you eat? The belly is the last place to go. Eating cleanly is what defeats the belly fat. If you post a day's worth of food, I can take a look and see if there is anything that could be improved..sometimes another set of eyes helps...there might not be anything there though to change.
Are you tracking calories to make sure you are eating enough? You are doing some very intense BB workouts so you need to make sure you are getting enough fuel to offset those. I can do your BMR for you to make sure you are getting enough, but I need your age, height, weight and the # of days you workout as well as how long to make sure I use the right formula for you.
I eat pretty clean, (not always though I admit) I do have cheats sometimes but not a lot) I can send you that info most likely in the morning, that would be awesome! Thanks!

I have seen a lot of mentions of "eating clean." Can you elaborate on what that means? Thanks!

I gained 10 lbs shortly after meeting my husband. From all the eating out & lounging around. I never lost it & then I got pregnant with my son & I gained 60 lbs. 30 of it came off shortly after I gave birth. Then I lost another 17 from trying to exercise and watch what I ate. (Which is not always the easiest when you have children) But for months & months my scale was stuck lol. So a friend of mine at work told me about the 90 day challenge. Since I have started The Body by Vi Challenge I have lost all of my baby weight & my pre baby weight (aka husband weight) :) I am currently working on losing another 10 lbs. When you get a chance take a look at the videos. http://natalieriley.bodybyvi.com/ Another site that also helped me was http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ It helps you keep track of your food & exercise. Plus you enter your information & it gives you how many calories, carbs, fat, protein, sugar & sat. fat. you can eat in order to meet your goals:) Good luck with your weight loss! Remember it doesn't come off over night;) It took time to put it on so it will take time to get it off;) That is one thing that I constantly remind myself;) I hope it helps;)

Sure!
Eating cleanly means eating as close to the natural state of the product as possible. Cooking from scratch and avoiding processed foods- hamburger helper, fast food, cookies, candy, etc..
I make most of our meals from scratch, although we do eat out at least once per week after Church.
For instance, I make my own greek yogurt and then top it with berries and Kashi cereal for breakfast. Today, I am having a whole grain english muffin topped with 2 egg whites, 2 slices of tomato, fresh spinach and 1 slice of low fat cheese and an apple.
Lunch will most likely be lettuce wraps- butter lettuce filled with steamed veggies with fruit and a salad.
Dinner- no clue yet..we have Church tonight so it will be something that I can whip up quickly...
My snacks consist of nuts, cheese, hummus and veggies or crackers..
I do buy certain things that are processed- whole wheat breads/pastas, brown rice, quinoa, Kashi/ Fiber One cereals, crackers, canned beans for hummus and chili, canned tomatoes for chili, but I also buy dried beans. The only "junk" food I keep in the house is small bags of chips for dd's lunch box and kraft mac n cheese for the kids.. they will not eat homemade mac n cheese... It baffles my mind as well as Dh's that they won't touch my homemade stuff but will eat the crappy boxed mix.. lol.. For the most part, I buy whole foods though. I buy produce every few days and I also keep frozen veggies in the house.
Ok, that sounds kind of like what I've been doing! Today for breakfast I had 2 veggie sausage links (morningstar farms), a half a cup of greek nonfat yogurt, a cup of strawberries, and a half a cup of Kashi golean. I usually have a big salad with lots of fruits and veggies for lunch, and then a protein shake at some point as well. I have been using Muscle Milk but as soon as I'm done with the one I have I am going to switch to making my own with whey protein, milk, and fruit. I've been doing Weight Watchers for the longest time but I am trying to go it on my own, only eat when I am hungry, and eat much healtheir than before. Thanks again!

totally this.
you also have to keep in mind that eating what your body needs is very important. undereat and you won't lose a thing.
find out your caloric weight loss target (go here and read all instructions) and always eat your calories. aside from eating what your body needs, if you don't eat clean, you will not lose the belly fat. it was the last for me to go and it took me 8 long months. i still have a bit left but no where near as what it was 4 months ago. those HIIT programs you do requires you to eat properly because it burns so many calories so if you're not eating within your range, you will not see the fat disappear.

I hear ya! I was in your position just a few months ago. I had both my kids (girl then boy) within an 18mo time period. I started out doing P90X and was seeing a little improvement but it wasn't happening fast enough for me. I got discouraged and almost gave up. I cried and cried but told myself I was just going to do it somehow, someway. I gained 51lbs with my daugther, then lost all but 10lbs before I got pregnant when she was 9mo old. I gained close to 55lbs with my son and am still losing it but it's coming off! So I went to myfitnesspal.com where you can track everything you eat- it's free to make an account on there. I also added Shakeology to my diet. Basically I hadn't been losing weight even though I was doing the right programs because my diet wasn't right. To burn 1lb that equals 3,500 calories. So if you want to lose 1lb a week then you have to create a 500 calorie a day deficit. Workouts like Turbo Fire burn around 600 if you are doing it correctly. Are you sticking with a program or are you just picking and choosing certain ones to do? I'm doing a P90X and Turbo Fire hybrid plus Shakeology and the pounds ARE coming off. Since you are doing beachbody workout programs do you have a free beachbody account? Why don't you message me and we can talk more. I know how frustrating it is to know you can do it but you aren't seeing results. Here is my e-mail: missk12@yahoo.com
