I need help!!! :'(
Instead of looking at the big picture, make once change at a time. What is your soda intake like? If you drink any, start there by minimizing and eventually eliminating it replacing it with water. If you have already done that, then start with adding more fresh ingredients to your diet replacing packaged items. I have lost almost 70lbs and it was by making changes one at a time so I didn't ever feel overwhelmed.

We can do this!!!!!!!!!!! I am the exact SAME way... You are not alone... I just started my weight loss Journey again ( after starting and stopping for about 3 years, and in the process gaining over 30 pounds!) You can dot IT!!! WE ALL CAN DO IT.... I am always giving up after my first week as well and I wont let it happen this time. Think.. You have to do this for YOU.... And if YOU dont do it, nobody else will..... YOU AND WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!
I'm okay with the eating. Maybe try preplanning your meals and portioning them for the day. I'm successful because I pack a lunch to take to work. Maybe you could do the same thing by putting what you're going to eat all in one place to eliminate snacking. I also plan a treat each day. Working out? WHAT'S THAT!? I severely struggle with exercise. Blech.
I spend most of my day away from home, so I pack all of my food for the day. I plan out meals, and I actually right now have 3 weekly menus I created that we're rotating through for the rest of the semester. We don't follow them to a T, but even having some ideas on paper is really helpful. Today, I took taco leftovers, except I took a big container of lettuce and put all the fixings on that instead of in a taco shell, and topped it with hot sauce and a squeeze of lime. I also took carrots and hummus, brown rice cakes and peanut butter (measured out ahead of time), grapes, and cottage cheese with blueberries. That gets me through being gone for about 11 hours of the day, and then we had dinner (chili in the crock pot) when I got home. With some planning and working out the kinks to find what works for you, you can make it work, I promise!!
Do you exercise? What do you ENJOY doing? You'll be more likely to stick with it of you enjoy it. Even short workouts count. Today I had about 25 minutes to work out before I had to pick up my son, so I did sprints on the treadmill after a warm up for 12 minutes, then did some plyometrics and core work for 11 minutes, ran back to the car, and picked him up.
One thing I think it's important to note is that when you are truly ready, you make it work. I've "tried" many, many times before. I'd be all motivated for a few days, all gung ho and doing well, working out, etc, then I'd be like, I'm too hungry, I want to eat what I want, etc, etc. Then I finally had to hit rock bottom and get pissed off and frustrated enough to make real changes that would stick. It's been 2.5 years and 113 lbs so far, and I'm not looking back. I haven't always stayed motivated, but when those hard times come, I dig deep, try to remember why I'm doing this, and ask myself if I want to undo my hard work. The things in life that are hardest to achieve are also the ones that are your biggest accomplishments, and the ones that feel the best when you achieve them.
