Just curious who has has met their goals or will soon, while eating their bmr. I know my bmr but i get paranoid eating so much. My weight is coming off little by little but I feel like I'm still doing things wrong. I was eating my bmr but not loosing for a long time. I lowered my calories to what spark people had me set at and immediately lost weight but I was hungry all the time. Raised it back up to my bmr and gained back what I lost. So then I decided to try eating my bmr but keep carbs at 120 grams or less a day and get 80-100 grams of protein a day. The weight was coming off but it was sloooow. ( 2 lbs in a month) i got lazy calculating my calories and just concentrated on keeping track of protein and carbs. Well I started tracking calories again and it turns out I naturally stop at 1200-1300 calories a day now. That's not enough according to my bmr. Again though, I'm paranoid that I will gain back what I lost if I eat my bmr. So is my bmr too high and thats why I gain or stall when I eat it or is it too many carbs or do I just have the metabolism from hell? :)
I started at 240 something right after having my son in February. My current weight is 207. I'm 30 and 5'3. My goal is to be at 140 by October '13.
If you ladies could post some progress pics or some advice that would be great. I need to stay motivated and do things the right way. I grew up with the whole starve yourself thin mentality from my mother and I keep wanting to revert to that whenever my efforts don't pay off. Bad habits die hard, as they say. On the plus side, even though I only lost 2 lbs this month I did loose 5 inches. So thats something :).
