This SUCKS...don't mind me...just venting

OK- I came and mad a post about how happy I was to hit the first 25 lbs lost goal I had...I had hit 214.5 (I want to go for about 60 total). That was August 16th.   I weighed again about a week and a half later and was down to 211.5 lbs. WOO FINALLY some REAL progress-I was SO happy to see that since it's been so slow for me. So, bout 4 or 5 days ago (like a week later) I weighed again-just to make sure It hadn't been a fluke-and I was back up by a .5 lbs - fine. I can deal with that but then this morning I weighed and I'm back to 214.5

SO- since August 16th- I have lost and gained so I am EXACTLY where I was then...UGH

STILL eating within BMR and even slightly below a couple days- STILL doing zumba and the wieght machine and pilates and pulling massive amounts of weeds and STILL not really getting very far for all the effort.

SO discouraging to come and see how people have lost over 30 or 40 lbs since March or April- I am super happy for them but at the same time it's SUPER frustrating to me.

Not looking for advice really- just wanted to vent...I already know to eat clean, stay off the scale- take measurements and all that

*sigh*

*I still havn't gotten a heart rate monitor- maybe THIS is the thing that finally pushes me to do it

*hoping that since I'm supposed to get my period today-that's the explanation for this-but still...

:(

Have you taken measurements?  It might help to see inches lost when the scale is being uncooperative.  Keep your chin up and keep going!  You can do it =)

yes- the measurements are going as slow or slower than the numbers on the scale...

still in the same size clothing after losing 25 lbs...UGH

Well if you are doing weights it could be that you are gaining some muscles. Muscles weigh more than fat. do your clothes fit better?

yeah -I'm hoping it's a combo of me being sore from pilates and the fact that I should start today...I just wanted to make sure I hadn't gone up more from a few days ago-and I usually go downa lb or two for some reason like the day before I get my period-and back up by like a lb. after it's over! wierd-I know

anyhow- no- the clothes still fit almost the same :(

I keep hoping that soon I will SEE the difference. The measurements are going down very very sowly as well

I feel your frustration with the clothing. I have lost 45lbs and still haven't gone down in pants size. Bodies are funny things. I don't understand how I can lose that much weight and some inches and still be wearing the same pants. :/  I'm sorry you're having a rough time, I hope you find something to help you, it's hard not to get frustrated or overwhelmed while trying to keep working on it. {{{HUGS}}}

Are you close to your period by chance? I ask because I had a 4 lb gain this week and I was/am really frustrated but then my period started so I think that is why. I am hoping the scale will go back down in a few days. Don't give up.

got it today...so I'm hoping that's it...but still to end up back where I was almost a month ago is pretty frustrating!

I usually lose a lb before it starts and end up more when it's over- don't ask me WHY!

For me one day I swear it just all melted off! I worked my ass off and 3-4 months of workin out daily, with a trainer twice a week and total eating overhaul and I handy lost anything. Then one day it was just gone! Lost 30 pounds and not sure how many inches. Sometimes it just happens like that. Just keep going. Maybe change things up. Good luck!

It sounds like you may have hit a plateau. Try changing up the number of calories you're eating also change up your exercise routine.

It happens, mama. I know it's hard to hit these plateaus. I've hit several along the way, and all you can do is reassess and make sure you're being good about everything, and keep tyre faith that your hard work WILL pay off. I HATE these times, but they do happen. It's hard to stay motivated, I know. I will even go several weeks with nothing, then over the course of a few days, 10 lbs will disappear (I weigh every day). I've found that there's an ebb and flow to weight loss. I'll have weeks where the scale is my friend, then I'll have weeks where my pants suddenly get looser. It rarely happens simultaneously. I've learned over these 2.5 years to just go with it, and take what I can get. For how much I run, you'd think I'd be losing 2+ lbs per week, but I don't. However, over this time, I've lost 113 lbs, so again, I'll take what I can get! Just focus on the next pound, and keep working hard, mama. Try not to get discouraged, and remember why you're doing this. Good luck!!
