Do walking lunges! They work your butt more than squats. Also, deadlifts!

it's a matter of how many + how hard/intense/how heavy.
consistency is also important! work the whole lower area - lower back, legs, butt and calves to get a nice lower half.
i do:
- deadlifts balancing on 1 leg, no weights, 2 sets of 25 reps (1 leg each so total 50)
- walking lunges using weights (i also combine upper body movements also) using 10lbs weights, 2 sets of 25.
- lots and lots of vertical plyometrics. i LOATHE plyo but it totally works.
- calf raises - 3 sets positioning my feet outwards (set 1), straight (set 2) and inwards (set 3); weights = 12lbs; reps = 15 slow lifts and then 10 fast burning ones per foot position. you def need to stretch your calves after this one. courtesy of p90x.
