I can do half a pull up, LOL.  I've only been seriously working at it for six weeks or so and I had NO upper body strength to speak of.

Not without getting a migraine. Dh nor I can figure out why they give me migraines... he has spotted me and checked my form, my breathing, etc...and everything is right so I avoid them so I'm not miserable for the rest of the day.

We do them a lot at crossfit. But we have these rubber bands we attach to the bars to stick one foot in to help take some of the weight off and you gradually move to smaller and smaller bands. I can do pulls ups with them, not on my own quite yet. But I'm getting there.

No, and I have never been able to.  My upper body strength has always been horrible.  I have also never been able to do a real pushup.

Good question!  Now I have another goal to work toward :)  Real push ups, flexed arm hang and chin ups!

We do them at my cross fit class, I can do three and it took me a long time to get to that point. Probably 6 months! I had absolutely no upper body strength prior to that.
