Welcome to Day 6 of the New Year Weight Loss Challenge!

Don't forget to snack!

Who would've thought that snacking between meals is actually GOOD for your weight loss.

Here is why snacking is important:

  • Snacking can prevent you from overeating when it comes to mealtime.
  • Intense hunger can cause you to choose less healthy options at mealtime
  • Snacking keeps your metabolism constantly running
  • Small frequent meals, rather than 3 large meals a day, mean your blood sugar remains steady
  • Snacks are fuel for your body between meals that provide you with energy, so opt for healthy options like fruits, veggies and nuts

I dont snack as much as i do small portions every twoish hours. Ive noticed if i dont my sugar drops and i get dizzy and not good. In between regular meals we will do fruit, veggies and dip, nuts, boiled eggs. Depends what im in the mood for. I also scale down my meals so im not overeating.

I don't typically.  I do keep healthy foods on hand as options.

I don't usually get hungry between meals so I don't snack. When I do snack I gain weight. Snacking just doesn't work for me. Between meals I drink water or hot tea with splenda.

Yes I snack

Yes I feel it helps not overeat

I'm trying to make better and healthy choices like yogurt, fruit and veggies but willl allow myself a sweet if. craving one

Yes

Sometimes

String cheese, yogurt, granola bars, a hard boiled egg, fresh fruit, cut up veggies, a dab of pb on a slice of whole grain toast.

I love snacks so i have to snack. I just reduced it to one piece of chocolate a day. For example a kiss or a hershey miniatures. I do stay on track with this.

I snack sometimes.

When I do snack I notice that I don't feel like I'm starving come dinner time.

Almonds, carrots, celery, dried fruit, yogurt, fresh fruit, smoothies, etc.
