New Year Weight Loss Challenge Day 18: Let's Go Fishing!

Welcome to Day 18 of the New Year Weight Loss Challenge!

Let's Go Fishing!
Or at least to the fish section of the market!

One key factor to achieving and maintaining healthy weight loss is to change your eating habits.

Using the 'eat this, instead of that' mantra try replacing other meats, more specificially red meat, with fish at least twice a week.
Fish is generally low in calories, low in saturated fat, less expensive than beef, pork and poultry and is packed with heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids.

Do you eat fish in place of other meats?
How often do you eat fish?
Share with us your favorite fish dishes?

We do eat seafood... not very often though as it is difficult to find decent seafood here. We prefer fresh from the sea and living in Atlanta it is hard to come by for the average person.

We rarely eat fish because my husband is a meat eater but when we do we usually eat salmon or white fish on sale.

My hubby likes tuna occasionally, but that's about it. No one else likes fish.

I lost never eat fish. I've never liked the taste or texture of it. On very rare occasions I'll eat a tuna sandwich or salmon patties but that's it.

I do not eat fish. I have thought about trying to eat it again, but I don't want to buy something that in the end I wont like. I have had it before when I was a kid and I thought it was ok. I just havent had it since. We never had it growing up. My dad ate it but my mom never cooked it. I do eat red meat but I am trying to stick to organic grass fed beef. It tastes so much better. Most of the meat we get is organic.
