New Year Weight Loss Challenge Day 22: Run, Run, As Fast As You Can!

Welcome to Day 22 of the New Year Weight Loss Challenge!

Run, Run, As Fast As You Can!

Running is one of the most important and natural exercises you can do to lose weight and get fit and healthy!
Running is an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise. Running also strengthens your muscles, reduces the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, burns fat and calories, strengthens your lungs, increases your stamina and boosts  your energy levels.
Whether you trot, jog or run anyone can do it. From Couch to 5k (C25K) for beginners to Marathon training for old pros, there is a running program/regimen for all levels of fitness.

Do you run for exercise or fitness?
Do you enjoy running?
Have you done any running program like the C25K before? Are you willing to try it?

I really don't like running for exercise, I do jog in place at night as part of my routine but never for distance. Maybe after I get to my goal weight I will get use to jogging but for now it's not a usual for me. :-)

jog on the treadmill sometimes. I don't run too often unless I am playing with the kids

I used to enjoy running so much. i need to start again but I cnat run more than 2 or 3 minutes now. I try on the treadmill. its exhausting. I just end up walking fast .

I can't stand running. Especially after pregnancy, my chest hurts so bad when I try, even doubled up on sports bras. But I am looking forward to the "Walk Your Butt Off" book that comes out next month. I enjoy walking.

No. I am totally not a runner.  I've done a 7k and it was the hardest thing.  I've never been good at running even when I was a kid and really active it just wasn't my thing.

I'm getting back into it. I did C25K several years ago to train for a 5K that ended up getting canceled because of a blizzard. My dd1 is in Girls On The Run and I said I would be her buddy runner this spring for her 5K (I had to work during the fall 5K).
