Is the exercise calorie burn calculator on MFP very accurate?

Probably not.  The best bet for an accurate calorie burn is a heart rate monitor.  MFP is just going to be an estimate based on age, weight, activity...

The calories for foods are generally pretty accurate, though they can vary food non-packaged foods. Calorie burn during a workout is best calculated with a HRM, but you can use their numbers. They're not too far off from what my HRM says.
