Did anyone sign up for the Crossfit Games Open?

My coach competes, so she had us all sign up just to see where we stand amoung others. So today we did the Open's First Wod.

Open 13.1

17min Amrap

40 Burpees to 6in above your normal reach

30 Snatches, (75/45)

30 Burpees

30 Snatches, (135/75)

20 Burpees

30 Sntaches, (165/100)

10 Burpees

Max Rep Snatch (210/120)

I made it through the first 3 rounds. I can't snatch 75lbs yet!

Yeah me either! I can do 55/60...maybe 65. But probably not 30 reps

My 1rm is 65lbs on a hanging snatch.

The snatches in this workout started out on the ground.

I caught my knee twice with the stupid bar on the way up! She said keep it close! I tried the 75lbs there was just no way it was going up, not after 70 burpees and 30 snatches at 45lbs.

I've only ever done snatches from the ground. I haven't done a one rep max for them but I know I can do 55# for workouts at least.

When it has to come from the ground that is where I struggle. My technique sucks, I think to much. I gotta learn to cler my head and just do it!

Yeah, the hardest part for me was picking up the correct form and learning how to use my hips to jerk the bar up. Once I got that I was able to do a lot more weight.

That's badass! Seriously, you go, man! I would LOVE to actually do crossfit, but for now my husband and I just do some of the WODs and a bunch of the calisthenics at home. That's wicked though, great job :)
