It is something that you will need to play with as each person is different. There is evidence supporting both methods- eating before and not eating.
Personally, I cannot workout less than 2 hours after I eat, so I typically eat breakfast around 5:15-5:30 if I'm hitting the gym as I get to the gym at 7:45 and start my workout by 8 am. Some ladies like Darby, need something to eat in a shorter period of time. I will get sick if I workout with food in my system so close to a workout, which is why I either workout empty or 2+ hours before.

Personally... I go for empty stomach...and eat right after.

I eat before.

I have been working out after I eat. However, it has to be at least 2 hours before or I will get cramps. If I don't eat I don't feel good, but I don't get sick, just shakey. So I have a snack after I eat; something healthy of course.

If I don't eat before my walk, I get extra hungry and make bad choices. That's just me though.
I feel I have less energy to get through the workout if I don't eat before. Particularly morning workouts
